During the procedure, you may feel a pinching sensation, which can be overcome by using a local anesthetic or chilling gel.

The length and number of sessions needed depends on each individual’s treatment plan. It can take up to several weeks to notice the results of photorejuvenation treatments.

Make sure your skin is clean. Don't apply any lotions, creams or makeup before your session, and remove all jewelery around the area being treated. Discontinue use of any irritating or exfoliating products 2-3 days before your appointment, and avoid tanning. Depending on which area is being treated, you may be advised to shave the area on the day of your treatment.

Swelling and redness may occur following your procedure. You may also experience some redness and slight warmth emanating from the treatment area for the first 24 hours post-treatment, like a mild sunburn. This is a normal part of your skin’s healing response.

You can return to your regular activities immediately. It is best to avoid hot baths, saunas, Jacuzzis, and pools for the first 2 days following treatment, as it could cause an infection. If possible, avoid applying ice or cooling compresses to the treated area, as the heat emanating from the skin is the body’s natural healing response.

You can apply moisturizer and sunscreen regularly after your treatment. Using sunscreen regularly is the first line of defense against fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage.
